re-move/re-improve

This work is a self-choreographed solo in which I began to question how my movement preferences and habituations inhibit me from continued growth as dancer and choreographer?  re-move/re-improve explores dis-comfort and the ability it presents in transforming ones inner-world.

Performed: March 2014 at Mudson, Salt Lake City, UT.

If a man gives way to all his desires, or panders to them, there will be no inner struggle, in him, no ‘friction’ no fire. But if, for the sake of attaining a definite aim, he struggles with the desires that hinder him- he will then create a fire which will gradually transform his inner world into a single whole
